Anonymous, you’re my hero

There has been alot of buzz this week about SOPA and PIPA, the anti-piracy legislation proposed in the United States Congress. If you haven’t heard yet, you’ve probably been living under a rock. To catch up on things, just google SOPA.

According to the legislation, I’m about 4 songs away from being put in jail: just posting 10 copyrighted videos on any website is enough for you website to be TAKEN OFF the internet, and for the poster to be potentially prosecuted.

Today, Megavideo and Megaupload got taken down. It’s a sad day. It was a website I loved to hate; the hate part mostly came in when it would randomly decide to cut me off at “72 minutes”.

But – that didn’t stop me from watching all of Dragonball Z & GT, House, Breaking Bad, etc. etc.

After the take-down, the hacker group Anonymous took down websites left, right, and centre:
